About us

In Honor Of “Big Skeet”

Our foundation started..

when David “Skeeter” Kerezsi Sr. was attending his daughters high-school graduation. One of the proudest moments of his life quickly turned to tragedy for Skeet and his family when he suffered a stroke. Additional microstrokes followed, which left Skeet in a wheelchair, unable to communicate and lacking fine motor functions.

For the following 18 months, Skeet’s family became caregivers through a journey that was filled with rehabilitation facilities, hospitals, doctors, and more. The Kerezsi family quickly learned the importance of companionship for patients who are unable to speak for themselves.

On August 14, 2023, Skeet’s battle ended with his family by his side. Following his passing, his family has made a dedication to others to start a charitable foundation in his memory. Thus, the Skeeter Strong foundation was born.

During Skeet’s life, if you were to ask anyone to describe him, you’d hear the words “caring”, “giving” and “loving”. Working in his family owned business, Skeet was a humble person who put others before himself. Skeet loved to fish and was an avid Eagles fan.

We strive to carry on his legacy through his foundation by exactly that – giving & caring.
